Why did you decide to study at The School of The New York Times?
I decided to study with SoNYT for many reasons including to broaden my knowledge of the field with which I wish to study, but also as a way to challenge myself in a new environment, country, and with completely new people.
Which course did you take and why?
2020欧洲杯客户端下载I decided to study Photojournalism as it is what I want to study post-secondary. I studied at the DC campus.
If you had to name one thing that you learned from your time here, what is that one takeaway that will stay with you?
I learned many things in class that will help me later on in my career- I learned to challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone.
What was your favorite site visit?
The National African American History and Cultural Museum was my favourite as our assignment was not only about the museum, but the people there as well.
Who was the most memorable guest speaker?
Reggie Cunningham was the most memorable speaker as his speech was the most relevant and relatable.
What were your faculty like?
The teachers in my course were extremely knowledgeable and very approachable. They made the course more fun and made the time in class very enjoyable for every student.
What does The New York Times mean to you?
The New York Times is very important to me, especially now. To me it has always meant reliability but now it is not just a news outlet, but an aspiration and a goal of mine.
What do you think you want to be when you grow up?
My goal is to pursue photojournalism as a career.
